Sew Memorable - About Us

Sew Memorable, Inc, a Quilt Shop in Dawsonville, GA, opened in 2004 to provide beautiful fabrics, quilting supplies and classes in at atmosphere that is homey, fun and welcoming with the mission of "making memories - one stitch at a time". Shop owner, Jeanne Rish, believes that a quilt is a snapshot of who you are and what you are feeling at a certain point in your life. Jeanne has been crafting and sewing all her life. She made her first quilt in 1976. She has designed and made some very significant quilts, perhaps the most notable was one commissioned for the halls of Grand Valley State University [GVSU] in Michigan. A theme quilt for the state's "START" program symbolizes the stages of autism and is an intricacy of detail that now adorns the halls of the Psychology Department of GVSU. Although not a certified teacher, herself, Jeanne spent over 10 years in the teaching industry working with impaired children making learning fun and rewarding. She offers the same enthusiasm to her family, friends and shop customers. Her Quilt Shop is more than a dream come true--it is a lifestyle of fun, sharing and new adventures. Quilters are the happiest, funniest and most selective members of society--their work takes time, care and love and they must rightfully demand the best for their efforts. Sew Memorable offers the highest quality of fabrics and quilt supplies to satisfy every quilter's needs. A new shop, it is already bursting at the seams [pun intended]. Jeanne hand selects fabrics from top lines and is always looking for new designers. She endeavors to remain at the forefront of the marketplace finding new products, ideas and supplies to aid her quilting community with their creations. At Sew Memorable, we love to quilt and sew and we want to offer our customers the best quality fabrics and supplies that will result in projects that are easier to complete and will last for years to come while providing a friendly and fun atmosphere.
